These Terms of Service apply to the use of the Unboxed website and purchases made through www.unboxed.store.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

About Unboxed

Unboxed is an online-only retailer selling refurbished and pre-owned technology, restored jewellery and other pre-owned products.

This is our registered business address only and is not a returns or dispatch address. For returns, email us before sending anything back and we will confirm the correct return instructions, including any return label or reference where applicable.

Products

We take care to describe our products as accurately as possible.

Because many of our products are refurbished, restored, pre-owned or one-of-one, each item may show signs of previous ownership unless stated otherwise. Product pages may include information about the condition, grading, specifications, included accessories, images, warranty and other relevant details.

For technology products, condition descriptions may include grades such as Like New, Good or Fair. These grades are intended to help customers understand the cosmetic condition of the item before purchase.

For jewellery, product descriptions may include details such as metal, carat, size, weight, stone details and other available information. Jewellery descriptions are based on the information available to us at the time of listing.

Product images are provided to help customers understand the item. Colours, finishes, screens and details may vary slightly depending on display settings, lighting and photography.

Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Some products, especially jewellery and other pre-owned items, may be one-of-one. If an item sells out, we may not be able to source the same item again.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, withdraw products, correct errors or update product information at any time.

Pricing

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£).

We try to ensure all prices are accurate. If we discover an obvious pricing error after you place an order, we may contact you to offer the option to buy at the correct price or cancel the order.

Any comparison pricing, RRP, “save” messaging or “was” pricing is provided for customer guidance only and may be based on available market information, manufacturer pricing, previous pricing or comparable new-product pricing where relevant.

Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the product or products in your order.

After placing an order, you may receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order, but it does not mean the order has been accepted.

A contract between you and Unboxed is formed when we accept your order and dispatch the item, or otherwise confirm acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or limit an order where necessary, including where:

  • The product is unavailable
  • There has been an error in price or product information
  • Payment cannot be authorised
  • We suspect fraud, misuse or unauthorised activity
  • We are unable to deliver to the address provided
  • The order breaches these terms

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Available payment methods may vary. Your payment provider may carry out checks or authorisations before approving the transaction.

We do not store your full card details.

Delivery

We currently deliver to the locations made available at checkout.

Delivery options, costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout before you complete your order.

We aim to dispatch and deliver orders within the estimated times shown, but delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless clearly stated.

You are responsible for ensuring the delivery address is accurate and complete.

Risk in the goods passes to you when the item is delivered to you, or to a person, safe place or location nominated by you.

Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received full payment.

Returns and cancellations

Please see our Return and Refund Policy for full details of returns, cancellations, refunds, faulty items and change-of-mind returns.

For online purchases, customers generally have the right to cancel an order up to 14 days after delivery, unless an exception applies.

Faulty items and statutory rights

If your item is faulty, not as described, damaged, or not fit for purpose, please contact us as soon as possible.

Faulty items reported within 30 days are handled separately in line with your statutory rights and our warranty policy.

Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights.

12-month Unboxed Warranty

Products may include a 12-month Unboxed Warranty where stated on the product page or warranty information page.

The warranty is intended to give extra peace of mind and applies in addition to your statutory rights.

The warranty does not cover issues caused by accidental damage, misuse, neglect, unauthorised repair, improper handling, software modification, water damage, consumable wear, battery degradation within expected limits, or normal wear and tear.

Depending on the item and circumstances, warranty support may include repair, replacement or refund.

Product condition and refurbished items

You understand that refurbished and pre-owned products are not brand new unless expressly stated.

Cosmetic marks, previous use, replacement parts, battery health variations, packaging differences, missing original retail packaging or other signs of previous ownership may be present depending on the item and condition grade.

We aim to make product condition clear before purchase.

Jewellery

Jewellery sold by Unboxed may be pre-owned, restored or one-of-one.

Measurements, weights, stone details and carat details are provided as accurately as possible based on the information available to us. Some measurements may be approximate.

Jewellery should be checked carefully on arrival and kept in suitable condition if you intend to return it.

For hygiene reasons, earrings or pierced jewellery should not be worn or inserted if you wish to return them due to change of mind. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose.

Discount codes and promotions

Discount codes, offers and promotions are subject to availability and may be changed, withdrawn or refused at any time.

Discount codes may have expiry dates, minimum spend requirements, product exclusions or other conditions.

Only one discount code may be used per order unless stated otherwise.

Discounts cannot usually be applied retrospectively to orders already placed.

Website content

All content on the Unboxed website, including text, images, graphics, branding, layout, logos and product information, belongs to Unboxed or its licensors unless stated otherwise.

You may use the website for personal shopping and browsing only.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, scrape, misuse or commercially exploit our website content without permission.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse our website.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Interfere with website security or functionality
  • Upload or transmit malicious code
  • Use automated scraping, bots or data extraction tools without permission

Subject to this, Unboxed is not responsible for:

  • Losses that were not foreseeable
  • Business losses
  • Loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity
  • Delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control
  • Website interruptions or technical issues outside our control

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control.

This may include delivery disruption, postal delays, courier issues, extreme weather, strikes, technical outages, supplier issues, payment provider issues, legal restrictions or other circumstances beyond our control.
